It's a Path of Grace - 2010

Just came back from prayer meeting and was reminded of this song : Path Of Grace by Stream of Praise. This was a song that we sang in our Graduation Retreat in Li's attempt of making us cry .. hehehhe .... no la ... but after we sang this song in the retreat, Ah Yi blasted (she has a good sound system for watching movie via lappie)this song from her room non stop till Mei2 scare when hear the music ...

Yes, 2010 was a year where my Shepherd had led me through with His grace, love and hands ... He had never once let go of my hands ....

2010 was a year where I went through major changes : from being a student to full time staff, from living in Spore to living in Tmn U (a new area for me in JB), from living solely by God's provision by faith, now God's provision comes through His church, from serving in English church in Spore to a fully Mandarin church in JB, from serving the young adults to serving youth, from being in the company of same flock friends .. to the company of different group, different background and culture ... it was a year when I explore new things for the 1st time - I led a youth group for the 1st time, I preached once every month, I organized a youth camp for the 1st time ... I led prayer meeting in Mandarin for the 1st time, I led CG in Mandarin for the 1st time ... my 1st time going to Korea, Hanoi ...

All I can say is thank You Lord for leading me in the path of grace, in Your love, with Your hands ... step by step .... You have led me all the way. I thank You for the smooth transition from being a student to working, from quick adjustment to the new environment, for a wonderful church that did not reject me but embrace and supported me, for 2 great brothers whom I work with in the youth ministry, for an understanding and supportive boss/pastor, for generous housemate ... for the room and the little surprise after Christmas in my room .... for my family (especially Mom and SM/KC who stood beside me all the way and for their understanding and prayers)

For the precious lessons that You gave me as a junior pastor in church (the wrestle of facing the expectations of the members, fear of rejection/talked by members, insensitivity, the true calling of servanthood, humility ... ) .. for ministering Your love through others and assurance /affirmation of my call ...

... for the blessing of Nee Chia and family who came back after so many years ... for the miracles in the youth camp ... the angels that You sent to help me ... for the work You are doing in the lives of the youth .. for answering our prayers ....

For my latest increment ... though LN thinks that its even higher than inflation and how come so often I get increment ....

What can I say but ... thank You! Thank You for Your grace ... love and faithfulness ....

How was your 2010? What do want to thank God for?

Enjoy this song as you reflect on your 2010 : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pt4eLuisYz4

Like Nee Chia say, life is a journey of choices ... what will you choose 2011?

祢是我的主 引我走正義路
Lord, You are my guide, the shepherd of my life
高山或低谷
Through the hills and valleys
都是祢在保護
You’re always by my side
萬人中唯獨 祢愛我認識我
Calling me by name, You’ve chosen me with love
永遠不變的應許
Blessing me abundantly
這一生都是祝福
Your promise will never change

﹝副歌﹞
一步又一步 這是恩典之路
Every step we take, You lead us with Your grace
祢愛 祢手
Your love, Your hand
將我緊緊抓住
Will hold us close to You
一步又一步 這是盼望之路
Every step we take, You lead us with Your grace
祢愛 祢手
Your love, Your hand
牽引我走這人生路
Will guide us through the path of grace

Family Fun Time - Final

At last, my precious family had gone back home ---- I really miss having them around and wish that they are closer ... so its nearer and we can met up more often rather than every few long years. The next time I see them -- especially the kids .. they will be young adults! The dynamics will be different again .... poor Dan is missing them badly ... we pray that God will give us more of this precious opportunities ...

Anyway, back to my time with them - after church last Sun, I drove up to Malacca to met them .... since Malacca is just 1hrs drive from Sban, SM took a nap after church while I started my journey directly after church.

Malacca is a very beautiful place to take photos .. I enjoyed clicking away my new camera the moment I stepped out of the car and the moment I stretch my hands out to click --- a bird pooed on my arms!! This reminds me of the incident Pris Li and I were taking photos in Chinatown last CNY and while I was biz taking Pris photo ... a bird few over Li and pooed on her head -- we had great time laughing .... (hohoho)

All of us enjoyed Malacca .... I ... love the color and buildings in Malacca and Jonker's Street ... m eying to buy the small wooden stool with cartoon carvings on it ... :0 ... it was a memory lane journey for us cos 14years ago, we also did the same trip .... Matthew was 2 then and Nee Chia was carry Mark ... Uncle J walked up St Paul and encountered God up in the hill. The sisters just had to take a pix together there ... just like what we did 14years ago ... No1's comment when he saw the 14yrs old photo -- "wow ... u guys were much smaller" .... hahahhaha

The next day, we drove to Genting ... it was interesting drive for me cos it had been soooooo long that I drove on Middle Ring 2 .... but .. I still dont like Genting. I never liked the place and after this visit --- confirmed .. I dont like Genting ... I hope not to go back to this place ever ... again. Its just too polluted --- people pollution, noise pollution .... smoke pollution .... but I do have to say that they did manage the place well ....

The kids simply enjoyed themselves -- they played their hearts out ... and they really need to thank Uncle KC for being so sporting to accompany them and bring them around in the outdoor themepark. It was almost like the Canadian Rockies relived .... only thing ... its in Malaysian 'Rockies" and Lyn is not with us. The same group .... but now the group ... have all grown up.

The kids loved the room --- no3 say that she wished that the room was hers ... in terms of space. No2 asked how much is the room per night because he wished that he can stay in Genting for 3 days to finish all the games in the themepark ... and the weather .... it was cool ... nice for them.

The following day .. I drove everyone back to Sitiawan while KC and SM went back to Sban ... in Sitiawan ....the kids were thrilled that they are staying in sister's house though I wanted to stay in Mom's place. The kids ... bonded so much that they move every where together ... sleep together ... get into the same car .. sit side by side ... especially Dan and no3. The cousins were really enjoying one another ... the best part of all I think was the visit to the local tuckshop where no2 bought lots of candy sticks cos it as soooooo cheap ... 10cents per stick. Dan is the leader .. afterall, he is the only one who can speak the language that will help them buy things :0

All of them had their share of motorbike ride .. the best was off cos Uncle J riding the bike himself. No1 wanted to buy a motorbike ... so I got him a motorbike.

Think that in 3 weeks we covered a lot of places ... God had been so good by giving us good weather to enjoy His creation and out door ... He protected us in as journey as we ply the notorious North - South Highway up and down ....

I am touched to see how close the 3 siblings are .. they have good relationship and bonding just like their Mom and us ... cos at the end ... it is families that will give us the core support that we need to live on this earth ... off course I think that all my next generation have good relationship and bonding ... this is something which I really thank God for .... I am also touched when I see how guai (good/understanding) no3 is ... I think that this little young lady has very sensitive heart, a good heart responsible, her thoughtfulness .... never complaining .... children are gifts from God ... :0 ...

I had good precious fellowship with my dear sister till 4am ... we shared our hearts and tears out ... we thank God for our family .... and God gave us one another because "God sets the lonely in families" (Ps 68:6a)... my family had stood by me through the thick and thin of my journey here. The conclusion I have come to in my thus far as I reflect on families ... it is not important how we start ... but how we will end our journey here on earth ...we may have a good start but may end up in shambles ... but we may have a humble beginning but through the grace of God .. we will end well -- in the arms of our Father ... as He carries us through the door of death to His House.

In this trip, I also had the opportunity to take photos around Manjung and appreciate my roots as a Foo Chow and my rich heritage .... :0

Much more to write ... to say ... in one sentence : Thank God .... and to God be the glory!

Sitiawan Settlement ... My Roots ... My Heritage ...

This trip back to Sitiawan, we also took the opportunity visit the Sitiawan Settlement Museum .... I love walking thru the little house .... memories of my childhood ... I thank God for my childhood and my roots and the people who took all the trouble to preserve them for us and our next generation.

I super kia su la ... I pluck the following info from the following blog in internet ... cos i so scare the info goes missing and the webpage cannot be found ... afterall I do want to make sure the info is there .....http://sitiawansettlementmuseum.blogspot.com/

Introduction
In the year 1999,the shepherd of the church , Rev. Liew Kek Ming urged the member of the church to place emphasis in history. He hopes that Sitiawan Community will be grateful ( Think of the source while drinking water ) and to remember the spirit and contributions of the pioneer, especially in remembering the sowing of the gospel seeds in Sitiawan .Therefore, the church and Sitiawan Settlement Museum Committee mooted the idea of establishing an historical artifacts museum at the birthplace of Sitiawan, using the 70 years old parsonage. Sitiawan Settlement Museum was officially launched on 7 Sept 2003, on the eve of the centennial celebration. Its establishment was for the collection and preservation of historical facts about the Foochow pioneer. It happened in 1903,when Rev. Lin Chen Mei , Dr.H.L.Emil Leuring and Rev.Dr. Huang Pau Seng led a group of Christian clansman to Sitiawan, Malaya.
Sitiawan Settlement Musuem

As you enter the museum nostalgic feelings are brought to life. You will feel respectful and yet amazed by the solemnity created by the atmosphere, visitors will be able to see historical relic and artifacts from days of pioneering, in the aspects of economy, education and the early church. The pioneer has not only left historical relics, but a legacy and heritage. Tools used by the pioneers, a yester-year kitchen furniture, antique dressing-table , costumes, colonial era bicycle, old clocks, old photographs, coal irons are among the thing displayed here.

According to popular local folklore, the name "SITIAWAN" is derived from a well-known story of "two elephant"- a common wild animal in the malaysian jungle.Apparently, one of the elephants, while crossing a tributary of the Dindings River at low tide, was caught in the mud.The other elephant made some desperate attempts to rescue the mate, but all efforts failed.Instead of abandoning the mate to save its own life, the "faithful" elephant stood by its mate to the last, and both elephants perished in the high tide.To the amusement at frist, and later horror of the village folks who had gathered on the banks to witness the tragedy, the river was aptly named "Sungai Gajah Mati" and the adjoining village "Kampong Gajah Mati". These names would have been perpetuated had it not been for a tragic event which occured at this village soon after. In 1886, an un known disease (later identified as smallpox) struck this settlement and a considerable number of people perished. The superstitious villagers believed that the name "Gajah Mati" had not been a good omen for them and therefore, under penghulu Haji Mohd.Ali , they petitioned to the British Resident of Perak, Sir Hugh Low, to remove "Gajah Mati" , hoping to prevent another deadly outbreak. In its place, the name " Sungai Setia Kawan " was suggested and hence the village was called "Kampong Setia Kawan" meaning "faithful friend". It was then shortened to "Kampong Setia-wan" and the river "Sungai Sitiawan" and the settlement- "kampong sitiawan".

CH
RONOLOGY OF PIONEER CHINESE METHODIST CHURCH BUILDING

End of 1904 church obtained ten acres of land for construction, with another three acres adjacent land for cemetery ground.

Mid of 1905 - construction work b
egan - cost $900
1906 - the building was burnt down owing to a wild fire
1907 - church rebuilding - cost $1600

1910 - church renovation - cost $650
1927 - new church building built in the shape of the cross,
in use until today.

WELL OF SALVATION

This orginal well in Kampong Koh dug by Dr.Shellabear who assisted Rev.H.L.Luering in setting up the settlement. At that time Kampong Koh lacked clean drinking water as the topography of this area was low. However, the two wells in the church compound were the never ending source of water supply in those days. Every morning, many women (mainly Foo Chow) would come to draw the water to sell to the residents for a living. These unusual ever flowing wells provided clean water to about 2000 residents in Kampong Koh for 60 years. Rev.W.E.Horley, the then D.S described it as ‘living water’ having fed and quenched hungry and thirsty souls. This conforms the Methodist mission in this place. Jesus Christ is the source of the living water and whoever drinks it will never thirst again. When the population increased, the government dug another well in front of the parsonage area. In the early seventies when pipe water was supplied to Kampong Koh, the residents stopped using the well water. Presently, the three wells in Lin Chen Mei garden are not original. The original well which was situated in the ACS bus bay had been filled up. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This is another info I gather from the net ... its from NST paper : http://travel.nst.com.my/Current_News/TravelTimes/article/HeritageCulture/20050509102847/Article/index_html

IT was an eye-opener for 12 members of the Perak Heritage Society who joined the recent Sitiawan Heritage Trail for the first time. The trip traces the legacy of pioneer immigrants of the Christian Foochow Chinese who arrived in 1903 and for some of the members, it was a good opportunity to discover their own “roots”.

The members, led by PHS vice president Law Siak Hong, were briefed on the history of the Foochows in Sitiawan. They also went on a one-day tour of Kampung Sitiawan, Simpang Dua Tionghua Cemetery Manjung, Sitiawan Settlement Museum (Kampung Koh), Pekan Gurney, Simpang Lima and Ayer Tawar.

The name Sitiawan comes from two words, setia and kawan. But the story behind it is by far more fascinating. It’s about the extraordinary friendship between two elephants used to transport tin ore along the Dindings River near the area in the late 1800s.

The story has it that one of the elephants got stuck in the soft sand of the riverbed. Efforts by men to save it proved futile. But the second elephant refused to let go; it clung to its friend and both eventually drowned.

In memory of this friendship between the two elephants, the town was named Setia Kawan or loyal friend. Over the years, the term evolved into Sitiawan. On the flip side, the place is also fashionably called City A1 (Sitiawan) by the locals.

In 1903, 363 Christian Foochows (Fuzhou) led by Reverend Ling Ching Mi arrived here from China. It was the Chinese Colonial Government’s second population transplant experiment in the Malay peninsula, following the success of a similar scheme in Sibu, Sarawak in 1901.

The group that arrived in Sitiawan consisted mainly of Kutian, Hockchew, Hockcheng and Henghua. Each was allocated its own agricultural settlement on a 1,000 ha of land in Kampung Cina.

One of the settlements was called Kampung Sitiawan on a tributary of Dindings River. It is a historical spot as this was where the Foochows first landed in Sitiawan.

The settlers grew padi to meet the growing demand for rice due to increased economic activities in the area during the period.

The long-term objective was to establish a population growth centre for future labour supply to exploit the rich resources of the land.

Unfortunately, the padi programme failed but quick action to switch to rubber saved the day. Over the years, the Foochows became a formidable group that spurred commercial activities in the area.

In 1999, the Sitiawan Settlement Museum was set up in Kampung Koh in 1999 by the area’s Pioneer Methodish Church (PMC).

Interestingly, and unknown to the public, the museum building was once an old wooden house which was home for the church reverend. It now showcases many old pictures, utensils, bicycles, tools, clothings and antiques once used by the Foochows.

Outside the museum is a well which supplied water for the Foochows for 30 years as there was no piped water then. Next to the museum stands the Pioneer Methodist Church, a majestic building in the shape of a “cross” originally built in 1904. It was burnt down in 1906 and rebuilt in 1907. Near the church is the grave of Reverend Ling.

The Sitiawan Settlement Museum is located at K-6, Jalan Chen Mei, Kampung Koh. Call 05-6920612 (opening hours from 9am to 5.30 pm, and entry is by appointment only).

I am sure that there are many more untold stories .... or stories that was handed to us verbally .... well, hopefully some day I will write my own ..... penning down our rich heritage and roots for our next generation ....

I am proud of my heritage and roots and proud to be born a Foo Chow in Sitiawan ... :0-

... Kampung Sitiawan ...

I took the opportunity to ronda (drive around) bit when I was the tour guide and driver for the Canadians ..... and this took us to Kampung Sitiawan looking for roti canai (seems it has a very famous roti canai stall there but it was closed when we arrived) ... cos its roti canai for brekfast, roti canai for lunch .. roti canai for dinner for no2 ... till eventually I heard no3 saying "m getting pretty sick of roti" this morning as they ate their final breakfast in Malaysia ....

This trip brought many sweet memories for me as I drove to Kampung Sitiawan. I recall even at a very young age .. Dad used to pillion both SM & I on his little palang bicycle to take us to Kg Sitiawan just to enjoy the breeze, fresh air and play around. I remember the swing that I played with -- but sadly its no longer there now ....

Then as I grew older ... I will cycle there with SM or friends to enjoy the river mouth by myself ... with friends ... We used to cycle through the muddy road through the rubber estate and cut through Sitiawan Estate as short cut instead of using the main road to get to this place ... I recall doing this with CK .... we had great adventures of walking on the wooden bridge (which is already torn down now) .. the bridge was narrow ... and rattles when bicycles or motorbikes pass by us ... and the part where we need to go thru the swampy area .... its scary cos its cooling (cold breeze .... ghostly feeling) ... and its creepy when thoughts of crocodiles surfacing clouds my mind .... cos there were stories of crocodiles in this river. The bridge did not only served as the link to Kampung Baru or Kampung Deralik (not too sure of the spelling) but also a meeting sport for the villagers in the evenings ... as well as a fishing spot during the night time. I also remember Dad used to go to this river mouth to collect clams when the tide is down .... We used to LOVE this clam ... we will wash it clean and boil it .... the soup will be used as soup base, we remove the meat from the clam to cook bihun soup. Very very sweet and tasty ... Now ... there is NO place to collect such clams cos their habitat is destroyed in the name of 'development' ..

Sadly ... we cant enjoy and relive this feelings anymore cos the entire river mouth is destroyed in the name of 'development' .... sad sad sad ....

Eventually, when I got to the point of riding motorbikes ... I used to fetch Mom on the motorbike or accompany her to visit her broker friend who happen to be living in the local Rumah Kesihatan (local government clinic) right in front of the bridge. She was living in the small government house with her Mom, husband and 2 boys ..

From those days, I recall stories told to me that this river mouth used to be a busy port ... long long ago ... and this was confirmed when we visited the Sitiawan Foo Chow Settlement Museum ... the girl in charge told me that the 1st group of Foo Chows from Fuzhou, China arrived in Sitiawan long long ago by boat near this river mouth .... the group was led by 3 pastors.

What took me by surprise this trip was I discovered that there was a chalet that we could rent for hols ... looks like a nice quiet place for a silent retreat ...

It's Movie Time!!! ... The Chronicls of Narnia ...

Today, I went for movies with the youth .. this is not my 1st time actually .... its the second time .. the 1st was about a month ago ... but today is the 1st time I take bus with them ...

It was quite fun to ride on the public transport .... super convenient .. the Mutiara gals (hehhehe ... since we live in Mutiara Rini ma ...) met in JingA's house 10am ... we walked about 10mins to some bawah pokok (under the tree) to wait for the bus. The bus came before we reached the "bus stop" ... the driver actually waited for us ... hahaha ... this is JB ... bit kampung style ... it was pretty cool when we got on the bus and sms Jk to tell him that we are "picking" him up ... :0 .... get on the same bus as us ....

We met 3 sweeties from Tun Aminah in CT Sq ... they also took bus ... Ping2 was the unofficial group leader there ... hehehehe ... then there was the 2 pretties from Kulai ... hahaha .... also first time for Sarai take public bus ....

It was very encouraging to see KT rushed all the way ... to met us ... kinda sweet la ... cos he want to keep JK company ... initially he was the only male in our group ... so i thought that was so nice of KT to come along ... thanks ... :0 ....

After the movie, we had lunch ... hehehe ... the guys decided to eat else where .... but came back to look for us after they finish .... I left Ct Sq after movies ... the youth hanged out .... but all of them got home safely ... I asked KT to help "watch out" for the gals ... m sure he will ... haha ... so I can go back in peace ... :0 ..

The movie ... it was so good ... have always LOVE Narnia series ... since young .... good to see it big screen .... comforting to know that "Aslan" is always watching over us and helping us ... his voice is soooo comforting ... gentle and assuring .... loving ... that's our Savior .... His grace is ever there for us .. when we do things that we are not suppose to, He will gently ask us "My child, what have you done?" just as how He asked Lucy .. and guide us back to the right path.

He loves us and is always watching over us ... loving us ... waiting for us to talk with Him .... and in our world ... He is known as someone else ... not Aslan .. we need to know who He is ... do you know and recognize Him in your world?

Family Fun Time 2

M back in Jb yesterday evening .... need sometime to wind down .. thoughts is still very much invaded by family time .... ooo .. yes ...i miss them .... miss family ... miss the kids .. hahaha ... all of them ... be it Win or Lyn/Dan or the 3 ... its like I have not spend enough time with them ... guess this is a start of my new journey .. what I had 3 years in TTC was really a bonus given by God for me to enjoy hols with family .....

Anyway ... coming back to the family fun time story ---- :

The kids simply LOVE Malaysia and Sitiawan .... actually m not too sure about no3 .. cos poor thing .. she suffers headache from jetlag and the heat ... and occasionally tummy pain ....

No 1 wants to buy a motorbike now ... no2 wants a laptop ... and no3 .. simple and sweet ... she just wants a glow in the dark tshirt ... :0 ... no 2 wants to buy a net to catch lizard, tag it and bring it back home as a pet! ...

Both boy had a hair cut from a Chinese barber ... hehehhe .... must cut hair Dad insist cos their hair long ... all end up like Dad's hairstyle ... hahaha .... then they went to Spg 3 .... and had great time chasing after the lizard ... practically turn the whole house upside down!!!

We went to the mangrove swamp area in the evening .... quick2 ... before it gets dark ... that was the best for the boys! They love the colorful crabs, monkeys and the feeling I guess ... off cos were had mosquito attack!!!

Then it was off to TB .... the beach was filled with people! Didnt like it cos it was too crowded for me .... off to Lumut for dinner .... KFC! Hahhaha ... I had to bring them to KFC cos the Yvr KFC is NOT nice .... and all of them enjoyed it! Yes ... Msia KFC manyak sedap! ..:) ... No2 asked for roti (again) for dinner .... he wants roti for bf, lunch and dinner!!! No2 had KFC nasi ayam and she finished the whole plate .... :0 ... good to see her eating ....

The next day ... we went to Segari ... Mom had to show us the way ...she's more familiar than me .... the drive was good ... God gave us very clear nice weather ... clear sky .... breezy .... I simply love the drive ... the weather .. the greens ... the nature .. hope that development can keep their hands off nature ... else we will really loose our beautiful kampung .... look what happen to Lumut, TB, Telok Rubiah ...Sitiawan town .... ooo man .... i hate going back cos it's super hot in Sitiawan ...NO trees ... all just buildings and ugly bird's house ....

The drive was longger than expected cos I was not too sure ... u knw Msia's road signs right ... Mom was like "ooo ... look ... a red signboard is coming up ... see what it says .. where to turn" ... hahha ... it says "AWAS! Pandu Perlahan" (Danger! Drive Slow) ... NChia and I naughty la ... we had a good laugh at Mom... who wont .. she super cute la ..all the way she wants to be in charge ... where to turn etc .... the hands will knock on my door ... to tell me that I need to turn to her side.

Anyway ... we reached the Penyu place at last .... the 1st sight that greeted us was an empty beach!!! Yahoooooo!!!! Just like the old days in Telok Rubiah where we get the entire beach to ourselves ... but this beach .. the waves are very high and strong ... no3 loves this the most. Guess all the 3 enjoyed cat and mouse chase with the waves ... and off cos the turtles ... it was quite interesting cos they kept a few turtles at different stage/age .... under the sand ... hatching stage ... babies ...2 years and then ... 3-4yrs .... to show us the process and different stages.

Then we drove the Damai Laut Swiss Garden. NChia's comment was ... oooo never knew my kampung so scenic and beautiful ... hehehhe ... yes .. I live the scenery .... the drive in ... wow ... but can see that they are clearing the mangrove area :( ... Its really really very beautiful resort ... for retreat or honeymoon ....

We came back K.Koh for lunch .... had lu-mian laksa ... which No2 says its not spicy enough for him .. so we ordered another bowl of laksa ... wah ... wack max the laska ... he loves it :0 ... everyone shared ice-kacang ... their 1st time ... they like it too ... but they are looking forward to Chinatown one in Spore ... the ice that melts in your mouth .... soft and high ...

We left Sitiawan after dinner .... stopped by packed white coffee in Bidor cos I was sleepy (superb kopi ... now I really need to stop every time I passby Bidor) .... the drive was good ... had precious time chatting and sharing with NChia :0

Now ... back to reality .... I need to kautim my Sunday's sermon & it's camp next week!!!!!!

Family Fun Time 1

I kiasu ... saw sm blog about the water fun ... I have to blog on thoughts on my family that is visiting from Vancouver ....

Yes, at last, Nee Chia is back ... the last time she's back was when Mom had the surgery ... that she came back alone ... Uncle J handle the kids all by himself and asked Nee Chia to come home to see Mom ... :0 ... that was so supportive and understanding of Mom ...

It was indeed a very rare moment ... having Nee Chia back .... and the kids .. hahaha .... the last we saw them ... they we kids!! all kecik2 ... its sooo good to see them after sooooo many years! Family are God's precious gift to us .... as siblings .... friends ... people that we grew up with ... people that came along side with us in our journey ... people to laugh and cry with .... people to share our burdens with ... people that give us the emotional ... and my family are God's greatest gift to me ... and they are my greatest supporters .... :0 ... all of them ....

I have not bonded much with Nee Chia's 3 kids .. after all, they were very young when I saw them ... and we have not met past 9 years ... but the kids are fun and sporting ... I drove them from the airport since SM's car need to place all the bags .... asked them what is the thing that they must eat or do to make their Malaysian hols complete .... No 1's reply : everything! Hahaha .... off cos he later narrow down to riding on a motorbike .. :0 ... he simply LOVES Malaysia ... he loves the color ... the scenery .... the feel ... even the color of the dirt ... he loves it!!! No 2 : oooo .... he must see a colorful bird ... m like --huh ... where did he get such idea ... he said his Dad ... ooo my where to see the bird??? ... then, along the highway from the airport .. there was a huge billboard with a HUGE colorful bird ... there ... that's it .. his Malaysian experience is made complete!!! hahaha .... No3 : .... i dont know ... :0 ...

SM cooked dinner .... I already noticed that No2 loves cili ... he wacked the asparagus cooked with big prawns and sambal ....

We mamak for bf .... we ordered tosai .... roti telor, roti sardin, tosai rawa, mi goreng mamak .... fish keropok ... papadam .... and guess what ... all of them LOVES roti canai ... be it sardin or telor ... but telor was a hit! We packed 2 roti telor back ... and No 2 ... ate them ...

It was quite a nice drive back to Sitiawan ... the weather was good ... not too hot ... PTL! When we reached Lekir area ... the kids got excited ... because they saw chickens running wild in the kampungs .... it seems back in Yvr ... each family can only have a max of 5 chicks ... and they Government set aside C20,000 every year to handle abandon chicks/chickens!!! Wah .... why cant they just kill the chickens to cook chicken curry or ang chew mi suah?

When we reached sis' hse .. they are so excited cos they are not only dogs around .. LOTS of lizards and FROG!! Eeeeeeee ..... kids are excited ... :0 ...

Dinner was at Ah Hing ... as we pulled into Ah Hing .. they were so surprise that the building is actually a restaurant ... hahaha ... No2 asked .... are we having roti telor for dinner ... hahahha .... faint! I say no ... we are having a Chinese dinner ... his reply .... aaawww ... but I want a Malaysian dinner not Chinese food! hahahha ... tats so true .. after all, he eats Chinese food all the time cooked by his Mom ...

Anyway .. the wedding dinner ... it was a huge gathering of the Yu clan ... near and far came ... typical Sitiawan dinner ... the KaraOK .... sound system .... blasting!!! Our ears needed a break and rest after the dinner! To Mom ... the sound level was just right!!! hahhaha :0 ...

The kids was tired but very well behaved ... they followed us around as we say Hi to relatives ... they waved at the relatives as gesture of Hello ... after all, its no point talking cos it was so noisy!

By the kids came back to sister's hse ... they are tired ... they all zzz in Hea's room .... while I parked myself in the room with the old grandmother's bed ... perhaps this bed is easily 70yrs old... have to take pix of it later ...

Now ... I need to return the mouse to Vincent .... I forgot to bring mine with me ...

Photos ... later .. another time ....

Tats all for now ....
