Transitions in life are seasons of life where there seem to a standstill in your life is like getting off the bus to change either to another bus or MRT ... Life is at a standstill and yet you know that it will not be long before you'll get on another phase (or season) and move on ....
Transitions are waiting seasons ... you just wait for the next season to arrive and get on the season. However, how you choose your season or next mode of transport (ie, bus or MRT or KTM or plane) all depends on one's sharp discernment of the God's will/way and how we have fair in the season of transition - ie, our attitude determines our altitude. If we have been resentful, impatient and unteachable in the season of transition, then we will either end up taking the wrong next"mode of transport", ie, choosing the wrong season .... or we will prematurely enter into a season where we are not ready and half baked, ending up going thru the next phase with much struggle ... or we may just miss the season or the turning of life junction ....
If transitions are waiting seasons ..... the allegory then that comes to my mind is the seed that is buried in the ground -- to battle with the hot scorning sun, cold and dampness of the night, showers of rain and storm, the darkness in the soil .... buried underneath where you do not know what is happening to you or where you are going ... but lo and behold .... one find day the seed pushing its way through the soil, merged with new shoots ... and it moves on to another season ... a season of growth ...
Like wise, to grow and mature in life,we must have seasons of transitions ... to be hidden and buried for awhile..... and while buried and hidden, battles with the weather to survive --- battles with our self, dying to our old self under the disciplinary hands of my Father, my Potter .... absorbing all the nourishment from "ground" that I was buried .... speaks of a season of receiving teaching/lessons ..... growing, filling or re-filling ... and this may cause change of mind sets ... renewing of mind-sets ....
Seasons of transitions are seasons of testing of patience .... which comes from perseverance .... and as I am typing this, my morning's Scripture comes to my mind .... 2 Peter 1:5-7 (For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love) .. it looks like transitions seasons is a season of training for perseverance in life ... and I have to say that I do not have much perseverance -- I like to take the short cut out --- ie, I lack patience ...
Its no wonder God bury me 3 years in TTC Spore, in a small room that faces the forest ..... to build in me patience and perseverance ...
So, what comes next after the season of transition?
C H A N G E ------------------- C H A N G E -------- yes, changes will happen after the season of waiting and stopping at the pit-stop of life that you have been assigned or stationed.
And change is something that all of us hate and do not look forward to because all human beings are creatures of habitat ....
My journey and season in TTC is ending in 6months time .... change is coming along the way .... ai ... Lord have mercy ... time to pack up and move on like Abraham ... remind me again to live in a tent yea ....
All I want for my Christmas this year is a home .... cos seasons of transitions may also make one "homeless" ....
But off course .... this world is not my home, m just passing through ..... how can I forget ....
wah...so panjang lebar.
